Wednesday September 10th - On the road again...

Today is a travel day for us…

Zulu Nyala -> Richards Bay -> Johannesburg - planes are getting smaller…

Nothing much to report, except we won’t be leaving our hotel room in Johannesburg!  Luckily it is attached to the airport so we can walk back for our flight to Botswana!  People try to “help” you to your hotel and they are persistent like you have never seen!  We finally had to say firmly, NO we don’t need any help!  This guy didn’t know who he was messing with!

Next we get to our hotel room and this sign is on the desk…  NO WAY are we leaving this hotel!

We probably will not have internet again until we are in Zimbabwe, the next four nights we will be at tent camps.

Good news, I was just notified by US travel bureau, Botswana has put restrictions on any travel from Ebola infected countries… all is good!

Thursday September 11th - We are off to Botswana!

  1. Yikes! I looked into crime in Johannesburg and it is apparently off the charts. Take your pick: murder, rape, carjacking, mugging, all are high. And the she is true of Capetown. Hide all your phones, cameras, etc. Don't look rich. Maybe hire a body guard. Glad you will be at a game preserve where at least the poachers won't be after you. Still love those pictures. The panorama from your camp is gorgeous.
