Well I thought Blogging might be an issue… everything was
in Arabic, but thanks to Google I was able to figure out how do convert
to English.
Our trip started off in a BART train without air conditioning... getting us ready for the heat and humidity we will be experiencing in Dubai.
Wow, 15.5 hours in a plane is a long time, luckily Emirates is a very nice airline and even in coach we were able to get some sleep. I happened to wake up as we were going over the North Pole and snapped a shot of our flight path... pretty cool! No Santa sightings.
Dubai is an extremely upscale City, our hotel is spectacular, extremely nice welcoming employees. A few pictures from our room...
It was a very short Sunday for us, we skipped over most of it. We got to our hotel around 9:00pm settled in and relaxed after our long flight. Need to go to sleep soon… problem is
we just woke up a few hours ago.
Tomorrow is going to be an extremely
busy day of sightseeing

SFO to Dubai!
Now that is a flight path! We are excited about the first stop on our trip… not so
excited about the 15.5 hours non-stop flight! How am I going to keep Cheryl from running up and down the aisles??
Oh and the weather… holy crap it is hot in Dubai… so much
for thinking that it is a desert… “it is a dry heat”. This forecast is from a couple days ago… 6:47pm 60% humidity
and it “feels” like 116… yikes!
BTW, due to pure determination we are now down to 2 backpacks! We might have to by underwear…
See you all on the other side of the world!

All packed and ready to GO!
Wow, 2 girls, 3 bags, 3 backpacks… for 3 weeks! Now that may sound like a lot, but we
are actually traveling extremely light.
We have serious weight restrictions on our luggage… 44lbs each! We are actually pushing our limits with
this load, but one of the bags is full of the goodies for the African Children.
The backpacks are full of camera gear, electronics and the items we might need
on the flight.
Unfortunately no room for all the babies in the bags… We are going to miss our furry babies!
